Hurricanes Alert

Week of June 21 - Give a high five to these swimmers who submiited their own design for next year's t-shirt contest.  There were about 50 swimmers from the four Cinco Ranch teams who participated.  One design was chosen and will be announced at our team party.  Give a Hurricanes High Five to:  Joshua Black, Isabella Torti, Jackson Torti, Jennifer Turrlington, Brooke Dumas, Emma Drury, Sarah Drury and Danielle Vacek!

Week of May 31 - Many thanks go to George Lopez.  The Concessions Co-Coordinator position had to be vacated due to a surgery.  The Lopez family quickly volunteered to fill that position.  George and Xiomara Lopez are the parents of Alejandro (8) and Amanda (6).  Please give them a Hurricanes "High Five" for helping the team!

Thank you to the following families who attended off-site training classes to be certified as stroke & turn judges or meet starter/referees:  Joe/Kisha Dante, Marque Millsaps, Dennis & Dawn Morris, Sharon Nesteroff, Rod Nichols, Jennifer Norris, Xunlez Nunez, Milind Patil, Kristine Robinson, Ursula Sharp, Phil Sontag, Jim Sorg, Mike & Adriana Swift, Tina Tise, Jim Turrlington and Bob Walsh.  These officials are on their feet the entire meet to fulfill an often "thankless" job.  Please remember to give a Hurricanes "High Five" to these officials at athe meet!

Week of May 24 - Many thanks go to Jim and Mary Turlington (Turlington, Reeves, and Orlando, PLLC) who, again this year, has supported the Cinco Ranch Swim Teams with a Gold Level cash donation.  Jim and Mary's swimmers are Jamie (12) and Jennifer (10).  Additionally, Jim has volunteered to file the annual non-profit tax return for CRST (representing all four Cinco Ranch swim teams) pro bono (that means, for free).  It takes a lot of money and a lot of volunteers to run a swim team, and the Turlingtons have gone above and beyond to support our team.  Please give the Turlingtons a "High Five"!

Many thanks go to Jennifer Parker who, again this year, has maintained the CRST website.  Notice how she also added the Highland Park "Hurricanes Alert" to our webpage.  This means all Hurricanes Alerts of families who "Go Above and Beyond" will be spotlighted not only in the director's weekly e-mail, but also on the website!  Jim and Jennifer's swimmers are Jenevieve (14) and Lynn (8).  Additionally, Jennifer has volunteered to fulfill the Highland Park's team responsibility to the WHALe League by maintaining the WHALe League website, too (www.swimwhale.com).  The website jobs are ones that take alot of work, not only during the swim season, but all during the off season, too.  Please give the Parkers a "High Five" for going "Above and Beyond" to support our team!

Week of May 15
- Many thanks go to Geordie and Kristine Robinson for repainting our home-team swimmers' benches!  Geordie and Kristine power-washed all four benches, then "primed" them, and then "painted" them with our team color--Hurricanes Blue!  They volunteered to do this much-needed job so that our swimmers would be "lined up" on benches that represent our team color!  Please Give them, and their children who helped, Grace (age 8) and Oliver (age 6), a "HIGH 5" to say "thank you!" from the team

"HURRICANE ALERT" - spotlights someone on the team who has gone "above and beyond" their call of duty to support your children's swim team!  Please make a special effort to give a "High Five" to them!  Please report all "Hurricane Alerts" to
hurricanesdirector@cincoranchswimteam.org so we can recognize them and give them a High Five from the team!
